Udayapur  Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala said the two major political parties of the country, NC and CPN (UML), are the main political contenders despiute being collaborators in the government.

Addressing a programme organised by the NC Triyuga Municipality-11 to unveil the statue of late BP Koirala here today, he stressed the need to work for the party organisation keeping in mind that the two parties are competing in the coming days even though the two parties had to form the government together under compelling circumstances.

“The political situation in the country is going through a transition. The political situation in the country has forced the major parties UML and NC to run the government together, but it should not be forgotten that these two parties are political rivals in the coming days,” he said.

He noted the leaders representing the parties in the government should work in a result-oriented manner that the people feel the change.(RSS)
